Mark and Nicola dropped my car off this evening finished (big cheers guys). Went for a spin with Mark and, it’s brilliant. Much quieter and less drama than the 122 but you look at the speedo and it seems to accelerate as fast in 5th as it used to in 3rd! I ride a 1200cc superbike (ZX12R) every day and I swear this would keep up going by the numbers.
651hp at the wheels on 12 pounds of boost. It showed 700whp at 14psi but has been backed off (and the cam retarded by 4 degrees) to make it easier to drive; the numbers published are as it sits outside my house.
Look at the power curve, still making power at the red line and the torque is absolutely flat! I could ask for 18psi if the rest of the car could take it…but it can’t.
Final spec ended up as:
1 - 383 (6.3 ltr) Compstar forged rotating assembly, fully balanced
2 - Mahle pistons
3 - CNC ported GM Performance 243 heads (inc springs and valves. 225 inlet/65cc chambers)
4 - Custom grind COMP blower cam
5 - SLP ported and updated oil pump
6 - Full ARP head and main bearing stud upgrade
7 - PWR 101mm etc throttle body
8 - Difilippo 1.78" headers + hi-flow cats + dual 3" Difilippo cat-back exhaust
9 - RapidGB fuel system (mounted in fuel tank with twin Bosch motor sport pumps)
10 - 90 lbs injectors
11 - Magnusson MP2300 TVS supercharger
12 - 8-rib ATI Super Damper & Supercharger Pulley Kit
13 - Cometic head gaskets & Clevite bearings
14 - Spec clutch
15 - Harrop diff cover with auxiliary oil cooler & pump
16 - 'Stiffy' engine torque damper
17 - Electronic fuel pump controller
18 - Remap
